Computer Programming Courses & Training
Few skills are more coveted in the information technology business than working knowledge of computing languages. Computer programming courses have become one of the most popular outlets for education, with high-level training becoming available for public use online. Some colleges and universities go so far as to publish certain classes on their websites to attract students, while other open source networks (such as Wikibooks) direct visitors to a database of links and shared information. You do not need to enroll with a college or register online in order to access some of these computer programming courses, but others only have a portion of their class available based off their home page.
Without doubt, the most comprehensive online course is based out of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s home page. MIT, having been the leader in American hardware and software design for several decades, offers visitors a wide range of class options through their page. Simple code, such as Microsoft’s .NET systems, can be learned through the entry-level classes at the 1.000 level, while much more complex computational codes like Eiffel or Haskell are available at 6.000 level classes. MIT’s page includes course notes, readings, and examinations. A comprehensive semester long class may be completed online in as little as six weeks.
If you do not have the time or resources for online computer programming courses, it may be as easy as finding a nearby classroom training facility. Microsoft’s IT training has been implemented for part-time study for programmers interested in expanding their skills. Nearby classes, taught by Microsoft’s certified training teams, can be found on their IT training page. These small classes and workshops are much more focused than a broad class, specializing in Microsoft-specific training. The .NET code course, required for certification as a solutions developer (MCSD), can be taken entirely on the online page.
